John as I am sure you were aware, all of your colleagues at work wished you all the best, you were constantly in our thoughts and everyday there were conversations on your progress "How's John doing .... Has anyone heard...." For me, in the 18 months or so you took on the mantle of my mentor it was a pleasure and privilege to work alongside you, I miss our conversations probably the most. I look back on this short time as one of the best and something that kept me going through all the frustrations we were so familiar with. You were always referred to as "the gentleman", so true, no-one I have come across has ever had a bad word to say about you. I was so saddened to hear the news and my thoughts and best wishes are with your family.
