Dedicated to the memory of John Corner
This site is a tribute to John Corner. He is much loved and will always be remembered.
John sadly passed away peacefully with us all right by his side on 28th June. We managed to fulfil all his last wishes and keep him at home. John was diagnosed with a stage 4 Glioblastoma October 2023, the prognosis was painful and frightening. But despite this, Dad’s worries and fears were only us, ‘my sadness will end but unfortunately all of your sadness will continue and this hurts and frightens me more’. How right he was. John was so incredibly brave and stoic throughout all his treatments, radiotherapy and chemotherapy cycles, to give him and us that little extra time with him - family get aways, days out, meals out, a wedding, the birth of another grandaughter and watching Lily’s tummy grow with another grandson, loads more laughs and lots more hugs. He didn’t once complain and we made sure he had the best care he deserved.
Our gorgeous John/Dad/Grandad was just the kindest of people, he saw only the good in people and was never judgemental. He was always there, he loved to chat, he loved to make people laugh and he adored his family.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Forever in our hearts.
